Snapdragon 750G VS Snapdragon 765G

Smartphone processor is also known as the chipset or the SoC which is the component that is responsible for everything functioning on your smartphone.

A capable processor not only allows your device to function seamlessly but is also capable of enhancing other factors. When you choose your smartphone, it is integral to know what processor you’re getting along with it since the performance directly correlates with it.

So let’s talk about two major known processors those are Snapdragon 750G and Snapdragon 765G. These two processors are used in premium mid-range smartphones.

Which one is better the Snapdragon 750G or the Snapdragon 765G let’s figure it out!

CPU:-

The Snapdragon 765G SoC is based on 7nm architecture, 64-bit octa-core processor that includes one Kryo 475 Prime (Cortex-A76) clocked at 2.4GHz, one Kryo 475 Gold (Cortex-A76) clocked at 2.2GHz and six Kryo 475 Silver (Cortex-A55) clocked at 1.8GHz. Snapdragon 750G SOC is fabricated at 8nm technology, 64-bit octa-core processor that supports Qualcomm Kryo 570 CPU which gives more than 20% performance boost and CPU architecture is based on Arm’s Cortex-A77 clocked at 2.2GHz (2x performance) and Arm’s Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8GHz (6x Efficiency).

So here, Snapdragon 750G is slightly better than Snapdragon 765G.

GPU:-

The Snapdragon 765G is the first 700-series platform to support Adreno 620 Updateable GPU drivers. Snapdragon 750g claims that the new chip offers up to 10-percent better graphics rendering performance by making use of the Adreno 619 GPU. The GPU arrives complete with Snapdragon Elite Gaming features, including support for Game Color Plus, updatable Adreno drivers & HDR gaming content. So good news for gamers who have a strict budget of 20K

Here in GPU Snapdragon 765G takes the lead

RAM and Storage:-

Snapdragon 765G can support upto LPDDR4X 12GB only and when it comes to the RAM speed, it can prop-up upto 2133MHZ, which gears up the system performance. Talking about storage, it provides EMMC 5.1, UFS 2.1, 2.2 & Snapdragon 750g supports Dual- Channel LPDDR4X memory, and RAM support is upto 12GB and speed is upto 2133 MHZ. All these (RAM support, RAM speed) are similar to Snapdragon 765g. Snapdragon 750g offers EMMC 5.1 and UFS 2.1, UFS 2.2 type storage (3.0 is not yet confirmed in both the processors).

So in this part, both the processors are quite similar.

Camera:-

In terms of camera, Snapdragon 765G can prop-up a single camera upto 36 Megapixel MFNR ZSL at 30fps and 192 Megapixel and 22 + 22 Megapixel dual-camera configuration. Whereas Snapdragon 750G, it offers Qualcomm Spectra 355L image signal processor, single-camera upto 32 Megapixel ZSL at 30fps and 192 Megapixel and 16+16 Megapixel dual-camera configuration.

Video:-

Snapdragon 765G supports 4K HDR video capture at 30 FPS, portrait mode and also supports HEVC Codec that is H.265, H.264 (AVC), VP8, VP9 playback. It can capture videos at 1080p at 60fps & 4K at 30fps. While Snapdragon 750G also offers H.265 (HEVC), H.264 (AVC), VP8, VP9 playback and Video Capture Formats of HDR10, HLG, HEVC & Slo-Mo 720p at 240 fps.

Display:-

Snapdragon 765G supports QHD+ display at 60HZ refresh rate (1440×3360p) and HDR & FULL HD+ at 120HZ (2520×1080p), it supports HDR10&10+ and color depth upto 10-bit. Snapdragon 750g supports FHD+ at 120 Hz (2520×1080p), QHD at 60Hz and also for HDR, it supports only HDR10+ and color depth upto 10-bit.

LTE MODEM:-

Both the processors, Snapdragon 765G and Snapdragon 750G chipsets have support for Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS), mmWave(2×2 MIMO), Sub-6GHz (100 MHz bandwidth), NSA and SA 5G architecture and it uses Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ X52 Modem-RF System. There maximum upload speed reaches upto 1.6gbps(5G), 210mbps(LTE) and maximum download speed reaches upto 3.7gbps(5G), 1.2gbps(LTE).
